Voopee @ GoMobile Expo AppCity!

Did you join us at the exciting GoMobile Expo AppCity 2012 at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre over the weekend on the 11 - 13 May?

GoMobile Expo AppCity 2012 is a one-of-a-kind mobile lifestyle event that caters to both consumers and the industry players. This inspiring and informative event is organized by MSC Malaysia and is supported and endorsed over the years by its Strategic Partners, Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (SKMM) and Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC).

Voopee took the opportunity to participate in this exciting 3-day expo to introduce and promote the revolutionary Voopee-XOX mobile application to the public. Voopee are proud to say that many of the visitors were very interested and impressed in the unique services provided by Voopee. Many of them even downloaded and tried out Voopee-XOX on the spot.

Due to the great response from everyone, we will definitely take part in more of such events in the near future to share the revolutionary Voopee services with all!

Voopee-XOX Official Launch

Voopee-XOX was officially launched on 8 May 2012 at One World Hotel in the presence of invited guests and the media.

Kicking off the event, a short video presentation about Voopee was shown. Immediately after that, Mr. Ng Kok Heng, CEO of XOX Bhd., welcomed the guests and gave an informative talk to everyone present.

In his speech, Mr. Ng stressed that Voopee-XOX allows users to make unlimited voice calls and SMSes within the Voopee-XOX network for free, and this trend of paying mobile services by subscription in return for unlimited free voice calls, SMS, instant messaging and data services will be the norm for all telecommunication providers in the future.

“We believe that no one else in the world has done this before and we are proud to be the first to introduce such a revolutionary concept to the market. In time, I believe it will change the way we communicate.” concluded Mr. Ng.

The event concluded with a press conference and media luncheon that was enjoyed by all.

Voopee “Win a Holiday” Contest

Over the past few weeks, there had been a flurry of activities on the voopee-XOX Facebook page because of Voopee “Win a Holiday” Contest. The contest was very well received by all. We appreciate all the entries and the effort that the participants took to complete the sentence “I want a holiday because…” to stand a chance to win a holiday.

In the end, the Grand Prize was awarded to Mr.How Say Kok for his creative and deserving entry. We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Mr. How again for winning a holiday to Bali courtesy of voopee-XOX.


“I want a holiday because I want to get away from the concrete jungle and go to a place where I can relax and rejuvenate my body and soul, as well as have the time of my life there! With voopee-XOX, I can make international calls with ZERO ROAMING CHARGES to say “Vello!” and brag about it to everyone back home! That would be cool! Winning this contest would be a good reason for me to go on leave because I needed a well-deserved break for working 7 days a week since the Chinese New Year holidays! I hope voopee-XOX can grant me this wish, and may the odds be in my favor! In return, I will use voopee-XOX during the holiday to keep in touch with my family and friends, and of course, to brag about it to my colleagues and boss!”


Other than the Grand Prize, we also gave out 4 RM200 Consolation Prizes in recognition of the other worthy entries. With this contest, we gave a channel for our subscribers to express their feelings.  Due to the good response, we will hold more exciting contests in the near future.
